I made millions starring in Toddlers and Tiaras but ‘retired’ at 7 – now 17 I’m unrecognisable & moving in with my man
SHE was propelled to fame as a child on US reality show Toddlers and Tiaras.
But now Honey Boo Boo – real name Alana Thompson – is all grown up, in a relationship and ready to move in with her man.
Alana, 17, first hit TV screens alongside Mama June, and later went on to land her own series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which ran from 2012 to 2014.
But since the show ended, the former pageant girl and child star has slightly stepped back from the spotlight, and recently graduated high school.
And now Alana – who is said to be worth millions following her successful TV career – is looking forward to a new chapter.
She’s been with boyfriend Dralin Carswell since 2021 and the pair are now taking their next step and setting up home together.
Alana will be swapping her hometown of Georgia for Denver Colorado, where she’s enrolled to study nursing at Regis University – and Drain, 21, will be by her side.
And she revealed: “I’ll be moving off campus for security reasons and because Dralin is coming with me.
“I think he’s more excited to move there than me.
“He’s ready to move out of our small town and experience something new too.”
She continued to ET: “I think it’ll be good for us honestly and I mean, I think it will be fun.
“Even though I’m moving halfway across the country, it’ll be good for me.”
Alana, who will celebrate her milestone 18th birthday in August, also recently opened up about how people still seem to think of her as the little girl that appeared on our screens all those years ago.
She said: “A lot of people still think like, ‘Oh, youre not supposed to be this’ and ‘You got a boyfriend? Oh no, you’re not supposed to have a boyfriend!
“And it’s like, I’m almost going to be 18. I’ve already graduated high school.
“I’m basically already grown, so I just don’t understand it.”
But she also teased that we haven’t seen the last of her TV adventures just yet.
Speaking about her move to college, Alana told People: “ I think that it is definitely going to be a different journey, but I think I’m ready for it.
“I don’t know if the cameras will be following me just yet. Y’all are just going to have to wait and see what happens…”
