What you see first in optical illusion reveals whether you’re easy-going or a major overthinker
TAKE on this challenge and it could reveal whether you’re an easy-going type or more of a major overthinker.
But it all depends on what you see in the first few seconds because that will determine what sort of character you are.
It’s a brain teaser from Mia Yilin (@mia_yilin), whose mind-bending tests have seen her grow a huge head-scratching audience.
At the last count, she had over 454,000 followers and another whopping 10 million likes.
This challenge appeared to be a straightforward one on the first appearance. But don’t be fooled.
“For this to work, make sure it’s the first thing you see,” she said.
“If the first thing you saw were the people in white robes, then you are super easygoing and have a tonne of friends,” she revealed.
“You’re definitely considered the social butterfly of the group.”
This personality type had a lot going for it, according to Mia.
“Your greatest trait is your charisma and smooth talking helps you out of some tricky situations.”
Inevitably, there was a downside: “On the other hand you’re quite impatient and like to get things done as soon as possible.
“You also have a short temper and in the spur of the moment, you often say things that you later regret.”
However, you sit on the other end of the spectrum if you saw a waterfall first. According to Mia, this made you a major overthinker.
“You like to keep your circle small and only have a few close friends as you find it difficult to trust most people. In order to protect yourself you’ve learned to become distant.”
But don’t judge someone with these traits too quickly.
“It’s easy for people to jump to conclusions and think you’re a cold person. But in reality, it just takes a long time to warm up to you.”
Those of the waterfall persuasion will grow on you, said Mia: “Once you accept someone as a friend, you’ll do everything in your power to protect them.”
Commenters were struck by the test’s accuracy. Some, however, felt they inhabited both character types.
“I saw both immediately,” wrote one viewer.
“I can’t believe this. How does she know?” wondered another person.
Another commenter was amazed: “Why are these so on point?” he asked.
