Sri Lanka's inflation drops further to 10.8 pct in June

COLOMBO, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's inflation based on the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) decreased to 10.8 percent in June from 22.1 percent in May, the Department of Census and Statistics said on Friday.

The department said inflation in the food category dropped to 2.5 percent last month from 15.8 percent in May.
