Russia’s CBR ramps up key rate by 100bp to 8.5%

The board of the Central Bank of Russia at the policy meeting on July 21 has raised the key interest rate by 100 basis points from 7.5% to 8.5% per annum. Prior to that, the rate had remained unchanged since September 2022.
