Dow Jones inches up 3 points while tech stocks take a break

NEW YORK, New York - Technology stocks lagged on Friday with the Nasdaq Composite dipping, while the Dow Jones index lifted for a tenth consecutive trading day.

Movements however were limited with the major industrial platforms basically flat.

S&P 500 (^GSPC): The Standard and Poor's 500 index closed at 4,536.34, posting a modest gain of 1.47 points or an increase of 0.03 percent.
