EastEnders rocked by TWO splits as couples come to blows after string of betrayals
EASTENDERS was rocked by TWO splits tonight as couples came to blows after a string of betrayals.
Last night’s episode saw Keanu Taylor confront fiancee Sharon Watts over her part in helping Lisa Fowler leave with his daughter Peggy last week.
The couple headed back to their house to discuss what happened, with Sharon pleading with Keanu to see that she was only doing what she thought was best for everyone.
However, Keanu couldn’t forgive her, and after a chat with Martin Fowler about their respective relationship woes, he returned home and told Sharon the wedding was off.
She pleaded: “Please Keanu, whatever you want me to do I will do it.”
But he replied: “I’m sorry but I can’t marry you…” before walking out of the house.
Meanwhile Martin had relationship problems of his own as he tried to rekindle his romance with Stacey Slater, but struggled with her new cam work.
The on-off couple went for a meal, but Martin wasn’t comfortable with Stacey paying, saying he didn’t want her “dirty money”.
Later in the pub, a drunk Martin confronted a group of lads who were laughing and joking as they looked at something on their phones.
Martin threw a punch before he got a smack in the face in return, leaving him with a bloody nose.
A horrified Stacey saw what happened and the pair had it out in the Square.
He said: “This is your fault, you have done this to me Stace, you haven’t got a clue what it’s like this side have ya?
“Every bloke I see, wondering if they’ve had some little thing with you, and then when we’re out together, everyone on my back, I can hear them saying ‘do you know what his mrs is up to?’
“You need to listen to me, I can’t handle it Stace, you selling yourself to anyone who will transfer you 20 quid.”
Stacey replied: “I guess we’re done then” and walked off before the soap’s classic ‘duff duffs’ rang out.
EastEnders viewers were taken aback by the two break ups, with one writing on Twitter: There’s no point in #EastEnders when it comes to relationships, is there, really?”
Another added: “Martin, what a class idiot!”
A third was more upset about Sharon and Keanu, saying: “My heart hurts for them now i wanna curl up in a ball and cry cause this was just heartbreaking seeing them like that. just want my sheanu happy.”
EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
