Paris 2024 Olympics: What can we expect from the Opening Ceremony on the Seine river?
The River Seine will host the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics with spectators watching from the quays as a flotilla of boats travels six kilometres from east to west. The first ever opening ceremony to take place outside a stadium will require an exceptional feat of organisation.
“On the boats is going to be the usual dancing and everything that you would see within what would normally be a stadium,” said Vasina. “On top of that there’s the security side, everything is going to be broadcast and everything is going to have to be tied down to absolute perfection.”
