VLN BMW i8 up for sale

The Sorg Rennspor BMW i8 that took part in the 2021 VLN season and was driven by former DTM driver Volker Strycek is up for sale.

The car is ready to use and comes with a package of additional equipment as well as three sets of rims and an approved/homologated safety cage.

The car is still equipped with the original hybrid power systems

Lauda to take part in historic F1 demos on NLS 12H weekend

Former FIA WEC GTE Am title winner Mathias Lauda is set to play a key role in the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring festivities in September.

He will drive his father Niki’s legendary Ferrari 312 on the historic circuit as part of the demonstrations, which will be run as part of the NLS 12-hour race weekend.

In addition, Gerhard Berger will drive a Ferrari 412 T2 and Ralf Schumacher will take his Williams FW 25 on the Nordschleife for a lap.

Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda have all been confirmed too.

The Red Bull Formula Nürburgring is on the schedule of the 63rd ADAC ACAS Cup on September 9th. NLS qualifying will take place from 8:00 to 9:40 hrs, the race will start at 15:30 hrs and run over the distance of six hours. The 62nd ADAC Reinoldus-Langstreckenrennen will take place the following day.

Gounon’s new Spark model

Spark is currently developing a model depicting Jules Gounon’s incident in the 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup France race at Navarra, which saw him end up on the roof of Joffrey De Narda’s cup car.
