NATIONAL SUMMARY

A potent storm impacting north-central portions of the

nation today will bring heavy rain and even a few embedded

thunderstorms to the region. Spotty showers and

thunderstorms will linger across parts of the Southeast,

with the most numerous expected in central Florida.

Meanwhile, much of the Northeast will be largely dry with

breezy conditions across coastal New England. Otherwise,

much of the south-central region will stay dry but humid,

particularly in Texas and Louisiana. Rocky Mountain

locations will dry out after some high-elevation locations

received their first snowfall of the season. Farther west,

coastal locations of Washington, Oregon and Northern

California will have a few late-day showers as a storm

approaches from the west.
