NATIONAL SUMMARY

A developing storm paired with a cold front will bring a

wide area of rain from Texas through southern Maryland

tomorrow. Embedded thunderstorms will erupt from eastern

Texas through Alabama and can turn severe and bring damaging

winds, heavy downpours, hail and even an isolated tornado.

This same storm will also bring snow to eastern New Mexico

and northern Texas, with rain mixing in with snow across

much of western Oklahoma. Many central areas of the country

will be dry, though there can be a few snow showers across

far northern portions of the upper Great Lakes. Meanwhile, a

weakening storm will bring some rain and high-elevation snow

to parts of the Northwest, while much of the Southwest

remains dry and cool.
