NATIONAL SUMMARY
The most recent in a string of storms will bring heavy
mountain snow to the Sierra Nevada mountains of California
tomorrow, with snowfall capable of exceeding 12-18 inches
near and around Donner Pass. This storm also will deliver
another round of heavy rainfall for much of coastal
California from the Los Angeles area northward. High winds
gusting to 55 miles per hour may also develop around the
Mount Shasta area of Northern California. Rain and snow
will extend to the north and east across Nevada into
southern Idaho, also stretching across much of the Pacific
Northwest. In the East, a slow-moving storm will finally
slide eastward away from Florida after a soaking rainfall
event. Outside of these areas, the vast majority of the
nation is expected to be dry beneath high pressure.
