Michael Vick Sends Message To Justin Fields

Many people have differing opinions about what the Chicago Bears should do regarding their quarterback situation. During a recent one-on-one interview on the Green Light Podcast with Michael Vick, Chris Long asked Vick about Justin Fields. Vick shared some intriguing thoughts about the Bears quarterback.

“I really want him to take that next step.. I think he is more than capable. And I know you can only go as far as what your offensive coordinator give to you. But there is times when you can go outside of that. He is so skilled, they should be in the the playoffs or competiting to be in the playoffs towards the end of the season.”

Michael Vick recognizes Justin Fields talent and the challenges he faced under his former offensive coordinator, Luke Getsy. Despite this, Vick believes great players can overcome obstacles and perform at a high level. Although the Chicago Bears were in playoff contention late in the season, their chances were slim. This raises the question: should the Bears commit to Fields for the upcoming season? The timing might not be ideal for Fields, as he could be a victim of circumstances if Chicago decides to move on from him. Vick went on to talk about his former team the Atlanta Falcons. And the fact is Fields could flourish with a fresh start back home with Atlanta, given their abundance of offensive weapons. The upcoming combine will provide more clarity, and discussions about the Bears quarterback situation will start to slowly reveal itself.
