DUBLIN 18, Ireland (AP) — Icon PLC (ICLR) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $216.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Dublin 18, Ireland-based company said it had profit of $2.60. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $3.46 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.44 per share.

The contract research organization posted revenue of $2.07 billion in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.08 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $612.3 million, or $7.40 per share. Revenue was reported as $8.12 billion.

Icon PLC expects full-year earnings in the range of $14.50 to $15.30 per share, with revenue in the range of $8.4 billion to $8.8 billion.
