DALLAS (AP) — DALLAS (AP) — Trinity Industries Inc. (TRN) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $62.8 million.

On a per-share basis, the Dallas-based company said it had net income of 75 cents. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations and non-recurring costs, were 82 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 66 cents per share.

The industrial manufacturer posted revenue of $797.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $106 million, or $1.27 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.98 billion.

Trinity Industries expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.30 to $1.50 per share.
