Chicago Bears Hall of Famer Drops Bold Opinion On Justin Fields

The University of St. Francis had former Chicago Bears hall of fame linebacker, Mike Singletary as their guest speaker at the 45th Annual Brown & Gold Night. This fundraising event took place at the Pat Sullivan Center on the USF campus on Thursday, February 22nd. During the event, Singletary went on to talk about one of Chicago’s biggest storylines: what will the Bears do at quarterback? Singletary did not hold back as he expressed his full support for the current Bears quarterback, Justin Fields.

Mike Singletary believes the Bears should build their team around Justin Fields

Singletary not only praised Justin Fields during his guest appearance but also stressed the importance of building a better team around him. He pointed out that the offensive line still needs help and advocated for adding more playmakers to the roster. Singletary also mentioned that the Bears should have kept David Montgomery as their running back. Furthermore, he expressed frustration with the lack of support given to Fields, questioning the decision not to invest in his development and simply bring in another guy. Singletary’s position provides a clear direction on what he wants the Bears to do. As the NFL combine approaches next week, the Bears plans will likely be revealed regarding the path they intend to take at QB.
