NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent storm will continue to bring rain and
high-elevation snow across portions of the Northwest
tomorrow. Rain and snow will spread farther south into
California, Nevada and Utah through the day. On the other
side of the nation, rain and snow showers will quickly exit
the Northeast in the morning, leaving dry conditions in
their wake. Elsewhere across the nation, dry weather will
continue, with the exception of a shower or two in parts of
West Virginia and Virginia. Strong winds will develop from
the Northern Rockies to the Southwest, and can lead to a
high risk of wildfires in New Mexico and western Texas. Heat
will build across the center of the country, and
temperatures will trend 15-30 degrees Fahrenheit above
historical averages. Daily high records can be challenged.
