NATIONAL SUMMARY
A zone of accumulating snow will progress across an area
from mainly northern New York through northern New England
tomorrow, likely bringing total snowfall of over a foot to
much of Maine and northern New Hampshire. South of this
area, rain, some heavy at times, is expected to reach across
a large portion of the Northeast, especially near the coast.
The mid-Atlantic will also receive heavy rain, especially
from the Outer Banks northward, with showers southward from
that area through the Southeast and thunderstorms capable of
bringing flooding downpours to South Florida. Steady snow
will track from Montana into Nebraska, with snow showers
instead for the central and northern Rockies. Rain and snow
will be scattered across the West, with heavy snow in the
Sierra Nevada.
