NATIONAL SUMMARY

The threat for severe thunderstorms will continue in the

center of the nation tomorrow as a strong disturbance will

make slow progress, bringing the risk for hail, flooding

downpours, strong wind gusts and some tornadoes from the San

Antonio area northward through Missouri and once again into

southeastern Nebraska. The flood risk in particular is

expected to ramp up from northeastern Oklahoma into

southeastern Kansas following repeated rounds of intense

thunderstorms. Areas of rain and thunderstorms will extend

along the path of this feature into the Great Lakes region,

including much of Lower Michigan, with thundershowers also

stretching into the interior Northeast. Steady rain will

soak the northern Plains as well, with showers dotting the

Rockies and rain along the Northwest coast.
