The sun is hot, but the tunes are hotter. We’re only halfway through 2024, and some of the biggest names in music have already released albums. That’s as good a reason as any to take stock of this year’s releases. Here are The Associated Press’ picks for the year’s best...so far. They include Beyoncé's “Act II: Cowboy Carter," Chief Keef's “Almighty So 2," Charli XCX's “Brat," and Waxahatchee's “Tigers Blood." Taylor Swift, Sexyy Red and RM also made the list. The AP has introduced a list of honorable mentions as well, which feature acts like Dua Lipa, Usher and Young Miko.
