Thai police have found traces of cyanide in the cups of six people who were found dead in a central Bangkok luxury hotel. The bodies were found Tuesday in Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in downtown Bangkok. Upon checking hotel records, there were no other visitors to the room apart from the six who were found dead there after failing to check out. They had last been seen alive Monday afternoon when food was delivered to the room. On Wednesday, Lt. Gen. Trairong Piwpan, chief of the Thai police force’s forensic division, said there were traces of cyanide in the cups that police found in the room. Initial results of an autopsy are expected Thursday. Police say money may be a motive.
