Pritzker is a billionaire from a Democratic stronghold who has not sought national office before. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has been a co-chair of the Biden-Harris campaign and is a fierce advocate for women's reproductive freedom. California Gov. Gavin Newsom has maintained a high profile even when he was not a candidate. North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear are also possibilities.
