NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers and thunderstorms in New England can bring gusty
winds and small hail tomorrow. Afternoon and evening
thunderstorms from Wyoming to Minnesota can bring localized
damaging wind gusts, hail and flooding downpours. There can
be an isolated tornado or two in the Dakotas. Meanwhile, an
area of high pressure will promote primarily dry and very
hot conditions across the Plains, Midwest and the Ohio and
Tennessee valleys. Along the Southeast coast, it will be
humid with spotty afternoon thunderstorms. In the southern
mid-Atlantic and Carolinas it will be sunny and pleasant.
Across the interior West it will be pleasant and primarily
dry, except in the high terrain where there can be a spotty
thundershower. Elsewhere, a storm will spread showers and
cool weather across northwestern Washington.
