Builders FirstSource: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

IRVING, Texas (AP) — IRVING, Texas (AP) — Builders FirstSource Inc. (BLDR) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $284.8 million.

The Irving, Texas-based company said it had net income of $2.44 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $3.07 per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.09 per share.

The construction supply company posted revenue of $4.23 billion in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $4.47 billion.

Builders FirstSource expects full-year revenue in the range of $16.25 billion to $16.55 billion.

Builders FirstSource shares have climbed slightly more than 3% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 42% in the last 12 months.
