Man accused of stockpiling 150 homemade bombs must stay in jail until trial, judge rules
A federal judge in Virginia says a man accused of stockpiling 150 homemade bombs must stay in jail until trial because he poses a danger to the community. Brad Spafford is being held on a federal firearms charge of owning an unregistered short-barrel rifle. Prosecutors say he faces more potential charges for the explosives found at Isle of Wight County home. Authorities say it was largest number of finished explosives seized in FBI history. Spafford's attorneys had argued for his release. They said he has no criminal record and that there's no evidence he was planning violence.
