A Brooklyn real estate magnate has pleaded guilty to a charge alleging that he worked with a Turkish government official to funnel illegal campaign contributions to New York City Mayor Eric Adams. Erden Arkan entered the plea to a conspiracy charge on Friday in Manhattan federal court. The owner of a real estate construction firm was one of several individuals implicated in an indictment brought against Adams in October. He was the first to plead guilty in the case publicly. Adams has pleaded not guilty to corruption charges.
