The Nation's Weather for Thursday, January 30, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow, a storm tracking across the country can produce
thunderstorms from eastern Texas into southwestern Arkansas
and northwestern Louisiana that have the potential to
produce hail, localized damaging winds and isolated
tornadoes. To the north into Oklahoma and southern Missouri,
there can be heavier rain that can lead to ponding on roads
and localized flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Otherwise, much of the nation will be dry with the exception
of some snow showers early in northern New Mexico and some
snow near the Front Range of Colorado. In the Northwest, a
storm will not be far offshore, but can come onshore late
afternoon into the evening. The Great Plains will be fairly
mild with high temperatures in the 40s and 50s while the
South can be warm with highs in the 60s and 70s.
