Pakistan's military says 18 troops and 23 separatist rebels have been killed in fighting in northwestern Balochistan province. The military said troops suffered casualties when they engaged the insurgents who erected barricades on a key highway in Kalat, a district bordering Afghanistan. The military said troops removed the roadblock following the fighting overnight into Saturday morning. The Baloch National Army separatist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
