_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm developing off the Northwest coast will bring
occasional rain and drizzle to western Washington today.
Similarly, another storm will bring rain and drizzle to
South Texas; rain is expected to expand inland and freeze on
surfaces overnight. Except for lingering snow in the
Colorado Rockies and northern New York, the rest of the
country will be dry. It will be very cold east of the Rocky
Mountains, with high temperatures 15-25 degrees below the
historical average for late February. The Northeast will be
noticeably colder with a gusty breeze. In contrast, the
Desert Southwest will be warm and breezy. A Santa Ana wind
event in Southern California will bring wind gusts of 30-50
