Global shares are mixed ahead of a decision on interest rates by the U.S. Federal Reserve. Shares rose in early Wednesday but were little changed in France, while declining in Germany and Britain. In Asia, benchmarks finished lower in Tokyo, Shanghai and Sydney, and higher in Seoul and Hong Kong. U.S. futures edged a bit higher while oil prices declined. Japan reported that it logged a trade surplus in February, with exports rising more than 11% from the previous yar. The Japanese central bank keep its benchmark rate unchanged at 0.5%. The Fed also is expected to hold rates steady.
