President Donald Trump's administration has admitted to mistakenly deporting a Maryland man with protected legal status to a notorious El Salvador prison. But the administration is arguing against returning him to the United States because of alleged gang times. Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia was arrested last month and sent to the Terrorism Confinement Center in his home country despite an immigration judge's 2019 ruling that he not be deported there. His attorneys say he has no gang ties and say the U.S. government has not produced evidence to support that claim.
