Police say 11 people have been taken to a hospital in Salem, Oregon, and a man is in custody following a report of multiple stabbing victims at a men's homeless shelter. Police were called out at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday to reports of stabbing victims at the Union Gospel Mission. A police spokesperson says the victims suffered varying types of injuries and their status was not known. Messages seeking comment were left at the hospital and at the mission, which says on its website that up to 150 homeless men seek shelter there each night.
