Syria's interior ministry says 120 Islamic State group members have escaped from a prison in northeast Syria. This happened amid clashes between government forces and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, which guards the prison. Security forces have recaptured 81 escapees and efforts continue to find the rest. The SDF and the government blame each other for the escape. On Monday, Syrian government forces and SDF fighters clashed around two prisons in the northeast. The SDF says several fighters were killed and over a dozen wounded. Interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa postponed a trip to Germany amid the tensions.
