Baker Mayfield says he never heard from coach Kevin Stefanski after Cleveland traded him to Carolina in 2022. Mayfield posted his criticism on social media Tuesday. Now both are in the NFC South after Atlanta hired Stefanski as its coach on Saturday. Mayfield was drafted first overall by the Browns in 2018. He led them to the playoffs in 2020 but struggled with consistency. He later revived his career in Tampa Bay, leading the Buccaneers to the playoffs in 2023 and 2024. Stefanski coached the Browns for six years before being fired after this season. He was quickly hired by the Falcons.
