Questions are mounting at the U.S. Capitol over the Trump administration’s shifting rationale for going to war with Iran. Lawmakers are demanding answers over President Donald Trump's strategy, exit plan and costs to Americans in lives lost and dollars spent, in what is quickly becoming a widening Middle East conflict. Trump officials headed to the Capitol Tuesday for a second day of closed-door briefings, this time with all members of the House and Senate. The meetings come ahead of votes on war powers resolutions in Congress that are intended to restrict Trump’s ability to continue the joint U.S.-Israel campaign to wage war on Iran.
