The miniature art installations at what’s known as “Mississippi’s Tiniest Museum” have transformed an alley into a major community hub and tourist destination. The Hattiesburg Pocket Museum, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, opened in 2020 as a small window display facing the alley behind a theater. Tourism officials say more than 300,000 visitors have since visited the surreal display. The museum is known for its miniature figures hidden in the alley's various nooks and crannies. It also includes a tiny art gallery and movie theater, colorful murals and a motion-activated dance spot that plays music along with disco lighting.
