MANILA, August 12 -– Thirteen areas have declared no classes on Saturday due to the heavy and continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon. The public information offices that announced class suspensions are: Caloocan City, Malabon City, Manila City, Marikina City, Navotas City, Quezon City, Taguig City, and Valenzuela City. Other areas that declared no classes are: Subic, Olongapo, Bataan and the municipalities of Taytay and Cainta in Rizal. Taytay announced that the suspension only covers up to senior high school levels. Aside from Taytay, the suspension covers all levels for both public and private schools.
