Cebu provincial jail acting warden resigns after series of controversies

CEBU CITY, Aug. 16 — Jail Warden Romeo Manansala of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) resigned Tuesday as acting jail warden. Cebu’s vice governor Agnes Magpale said they received reports of “conjugal room(s)” inside the jail operated for rent, raising of gamecocks inside the jail, and many others. Manansala said he resigned since his term already lapsed and he would give way to other jail guards to assume his post.
