Martin, Philippine News Agency MANILA, Aug. 22 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday assured assistance to the family of six Filipinos who died in a fire that struck their house in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. DFA Assistant Secretary Charles Jose said they were giving the family two options to bury their loved ones. “Ang embassy naman natin ay handang mag extend ng assistance sa families, depende sa kung anong gusto ng next of kin kung ilibing immediately sa Saudi or ibalik yung mga labi dito sa Pilipinas,” Jose told reporters in a chance interview. The fatalities, one of them pregnant, died when they failed to get out from their flat Saturday. Among the victims were children aged 7, 6, and 1.
