Connecticut college closes due to threats to campus

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A private college in Connecticut says it has closed its campus due to threats made against the school.

Trinity College in Hartford said Wednesday that it is closed until further notice.

Officials didn't provide details on the nature of the threats. Police tell WVIT-TV that authorities are vetting non-specific, non-credible threats from across the country related to potential comments by a staff member.

The school says there will be an ongoing enhanced security presence on campus.
