A UN report detailing the "massive and systematized" violence perpetrated by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad against his own people "shatters the notion that the regime is somehow a lesser evil" than the Islamic State.

Report finds handful of charter schools on money watch list

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Only about 4 percent of North Carolina's more than 150 charter schools are on a financial watch list tracking taxpayer money going to the non-traditional public schools.
