Airbus planes are about to get even more crowded

LONDON (Reuters) - European planemaker Airbus unveiled a new cabin brand on Wednesday designed to help cost-conscious airlines carry more passengers on long-haul flights while avoiding additional discomfort.

The move reflects the rivalry between major planemakers to jazz up interiors and give airlines more flexibility on cabins as the industry struggles to capture more traffic without angering passengers.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A Democratic and a Republican congressmen have asked the National Security Agency to halt a reported plan to share more raw intelligence data with other federal agencies, warning the policy shift would be “unconstitutional and dangerous,” according to a letter seen by Reuters.

Earlier this month, Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut and Senator Ed Markey of Massachusetts introduced the cleverly named "Forbidding Airlines from Imposing Ridiculous (FAIR) Fees Act." This proposed legislation would essentially regulate airline fees to ensure that each fee is commensurate with the cost of whatever service it covers.
