The District of Columbia Public Service Commission said Wednesday that Exelon has 30 days to agree to the way it wants more than $70 million in payments to be used for customer discounts and energy conservation. A combination of Exelon and Pepco would create the largest electric utility company in the U.S., according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Connecticut's legislature is proposing a bill that would tax income from Yale's $25.6 billion endowment, Bloomberg reported.
The legislation, which was introduced in March, specifically targets schools in Connecticut with endowments of $10 billion or more. Yale is the only such school in the entire state with an endowment of more than $10 billion.
