Gold futures settled higher on Tuesday, finding support from weakness in U.S. equities and the dollar. Near 2:24 p.m. ET, the Dow was down 206 points (1.17%), the S&P 500 was down 22 points (1.09%) and the Nasdaq was down 59 points (1.25%). 

The S&P 500 fell back into the red for the year. 

In Fedspeak, Atlanta Fed president Dennis Lockart and San Francisco Fed president John Williams both said they would not rule out a June rate hike.
