Giant dead basking shark resurfaces in Boston Harbor

BOSTON (AP) — The carcass of a basking shark at least 24 feet long that was first seen stuck to the bow of a container ship in Boston Harbor more than two weeks ago has resurfaced.

A wave of late night airstrikes pummeled the northwestern Syrian city of Idlib, killing at least 23 people, wounding dozens and trapping several under the rubble of their homes, opposition activists said Tuesday. At least seven children were among those killed in the strikes, said the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a monitoring group that relies on local activists.

University: Retired McNeese St. president dies in Italy

(AP) — Retired McNeese State University President Robert Hebert (AY'-bair) has died while vacationing in Italy with his family. The university said in a news release Tuesday Hebert died of a brain hemorrhage on Monday.
