15 hospitalized after chemical spill at food factory
EASTVALE, Calif. (AP) — Fifteen people were hospitalized after a chemical spill at a Southern California canning factory, but no one was seriously injured. The Riverside County Fire Department said a forklift was loading a concentrated cleaning acid on to a dock at a Starkist Foods facility in Eastvale on Thursday. One of the forklift arms pierced a plastic container and about 40 gallons spilled. Fifteen workers were taken to hospitals with inhalation problems.
