SFMOMA to honor ‘The Clock’ artist Christian Marclay

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will honor artist Christian Marclay with its 2016 Contemporary Vision Award. Marclay is best known for his 24-hour film montage “The Clock,” which was shown in 2013 at SFMOMA in the final weeks before the museum’s three-year hiatus for renovation. An artist with an international reputation, Marclay has participated in exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Venice Biennale, Centre Pompidou Paris and Kunsthaus Zurich, among other venues.
