Stocks rose across the board on Friday after the jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed continued strength in the labor market.

Conley resigned the chairmanship of the Omaha college's Board of Governors on Tuesday, but had refused to resign from the board, despite a threat from the U.S. Education Department to withhold student aid and other federal funding from the college if Conley remained.
