Gold futures settled Monday at their lowest level since early June, pressured by the U.S. dollar index's climb to its highest level in about a year. Prices for the yellow metal, however, pared much of their earlier losses, with prices finding some support after falling over the previous five sessions in a row and suffering from their largest weekly decline in over three years. The three members of Army Special Forces who were killed earlier this month outside a Jordanian military base were working for the Central Intelligence Agency, according to a report in The Washington Post.
