Tesla Motors Recalls Adapters: NEMA 14-30, 10-30, 6-50 Withdrawn As Precaution

Tesla Motors issued a voluntary recall Tuesday for some models of charging adapters after it received two reports of them overheating. “This recall does not involve the Tesla Wall Connector, Universal Mobile Connector, NEMA 14-50 adapter, or NEMA 5-15 adapter that came standard with your Tesla and that most of our customers use for charging. It only involves NEMA 14-30, 10-30 and 6-50 adapters, which are sold separately as accessories and which are used by relatively few of our customers,” the company said on its website.

The Wednesday luncheon program at Sharonville Convention Center north of downtown Cincinnati scheduled speakers including University of Cincinnati professor and author Robert Miller and former Cincinnati Reds baseball star George Foster.

ACEH, Indonesia, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- At least 54 people died and an unknown number were hurt in a 6.5 magnitude earthquake in Aceh province in Indonesia, though no tsunami warning was issued.

Jack Dorsey, the CEO of both Twitter and Square, doesn't see himself stepping down from either role anytime soon.

Speaking at Code Commerce on Tuesday, Dorsey said he's focused on growing both companies and will continue to keep his dual CEO role for the foreseeable future.

"I don't have a specific time frame," Dorsey said. "My intention is to serve both companies in every way I know how and make sure that we are really focused on what’s most important for each."

NASA’s Cassini Begins Mission ‘Endgame’ With Its First Ring-Grazing Dive

The Cassini spacecraft has begun the first phase of its mission “endgame” by making its first close dive past the outer edges of Saturn’s rings, NASA announced Monday. The spacecraft, which has been in orbit around the gas giant since 2004, crossed through the plane of the rings at 8:09 a.m. EST on Sunday at a distance of approximately 57,000 miles above Saturn’s cloud tops — just 6,800 miles from the F ring, which is roughly 500 miles wide.
