Big East Coast blizzard’s impact lingers Sunday at SFO
The record snowfall may have stopped, but the effects of Saturday’s East Coast blizzard on flights to and from San Francisco International Airport lingered into Sunday afternoon.
Traffic between San Francisco and most major airports from Washington, D.C., to New York City had been affected, including Washington’s Dulles and National airports, Philadelphia, Newark and New York’s John F. Kennedy airport.
The tie-ups continued even as the huge storm blew out to sea, and eastern cities began digging out from snowfall that topped two feet in both D.C. and New York.
